Fingal has been chosen as a hub for Ireland Home of Halloween, with some fabulous events taking place over the Samhain season around Fingal.
Fingal Home of Halloween has an action-packed programme with 100+ events all over the county throughout October and even into November.
Halloween comes to life with fire and local folklore in fascinating castle settings, as you learn more about the Samhain tradition of historic Fingal.
Did you know there’s a poltergeist in Malahide Castle? Have you heard of the lady of the stairs in Ardgillan Castle? Can you believe Howth Castle is haunted by a Mermaid? Would you walk down Hearse Road alone in the dark? If you do, watch out for that coach with headless horses driven by an ancestor of the Cobbe family of Newbridge House.
Celebrate Halloween in Fingal with a spectacular night of themed fireworks and family fun.
Join in on Saturday, 31st October 2026 at 7.30pm for a magical evening under the stars.
Events take place at Swords Castle, Bremore Castle Balbriggan, and Millennium Park Blanchardstown.
