Professional pumpkin carvers demonstrate their skill, transforming plain pumpkins into masterpieces before your very eyes. Discover the immersive ‘3D mind maze’. Fire & Folklore: A Samhain Journey at Ardgillan Castle

Step into the great hall and enter another world of flickering firelight and otherworldliness where nothing is as it seems, and mischief is at play. Around each dark corner who knows what lurks… Guided by a costumed host this is an interactive castle tour like none other, a journey around Samhain customs and traditions.
At each stop storytellers weave their spell with mystic words blending history and myth. The tragic tale of the ghostly Lady of the Stairs, dating back hundreds of years is rooted in Ardgillan Castle. Perhaps at this most magical time of year when the veil between the worlds thins to transparency, the lady might appear, dressed in white and staring out to sea. Everyone is encouraged to wear suitable costumes – cloaks, shawls and autumn tones.
