Family Fun Event
The Donabate Portrane Summer Festival is a community run family focused fun event, consisting of the following activities:
- Funfair / Carnival,
- Street Entertainment,
- Sensory Evening for patrons with additional needs
- Live music and dance featuring local acts and professional acts (from various parts of Ireland)
- Bingo
- Magic Show
- Make your Kite
- Novelty Races for kids & adults
- Fireworks
- Food & Drink Stalls
- Craft Fair
- Exotic Animals (Stall)
The Festival also links in with Swim Ireland for their open water swimming event which takes place on the Sunday of the festival.
The event runs over 3 days: Friday Evening August 7th, Saturday August 8th and Sunday August 9th 2026.
