Community Local Magazines – Halloween Edition

Its Halloween soon – and the Clocks change this month too!

Halloween will be here at the end of this month and as many of us know it is based on the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain.

This is about halfway between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice when the Celts believed the boundary between this world and the next could be more easily crossed.

All very scary, but those definitions have long been confined to history and today it is a time for the smiles on our children’s faces to replace the apprehension or fear of olden times.

Also, remember our clocks go back on October 29, just two days before Halloween so the evenings will be darker.
