Inspired by James Murphy of Impact Gumshields after hearing a piece on RTÉ Radio 1 about hands-free door handles, Ben Connolly of Pobalscoil Neásain (Baldoyle), got to work on replicating the device on his 3D printer.
His father, D Watch Station Officer of Kilbarrack, has installed them on doors of the Fire Station. The hands-free handle eliminates the high use touch point of the station’s office door handle reducing the risk of spread of #COVID19.
