Urban Planning & Nature Based Surface Water Management, Walk and Talk

Walk and talk  on Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems in Fingal

About this event

Join an interactive walk and talk at Aston Broc and Millers Glen developments in Swords. Ashton Broc is an older development with surface water management typical of developments its age. After walking through Aston Broc you’ll continue on to Miller’s Glen, which is a new development that has several SuDS examples.

Sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS) have been designed to replicate the natural characteristics of the land and ultimately slow the post development discharge rate of surface water to reduce the potential for downstream flooding.

-Please be aware that the walk and talk will last for 1.5 hrs

-Weather appropriate clothing should be worn as the event will be held rain or shine.
