The Green Belt: is A Rush and Lusk drama project

Fingal Theatre Maker Declan Gorman is seeking participants from Rush and Lusk for a new community drama project.

The Green Belt: is A Rush and Lusk drama project which is currently being developed by actor and theatre maker Declan Gorman. The new play will be co-written and produced with local participants and will tell a 50-year story about Rush and Lusk communities based on their experiences of living there. To begin this local engagement, Declan is hosting an information evening at the Millbank Theatre, Rush * on Thursday 10th of September where he will present what he hopes to do and  formally invite the community to join him in this project.

The story of these towns will be uncovered through creative workshops and conversations. Anyone from 16 years of age regardless of experience can join this project as a storyteller, writer, actor, interviewer or historian or a combination of these roles the project will can be delivered remotely through digital platforms or in a designated rehearsal space where social distancing can be applied.

Attendance will be capped at 28 at the Millbank Theatre in line with recommended Covid 19 Guidelines
