The Explore Your Shore! project

The National Biodiversity Data Centre is running a coastal survey for marine wildlife. This is a Citizen Science project funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and is a great way for the Public to get involved in biodiversity data collection on their local shore while contributing to a nationwide project that will update our knowledge of Irish coastal species distribution, while looking at these species as indicators of Climate Change and Water Quality.

See flyer for the survey here.

There are also links to their online Identification posters for Irish Marine Bivalve Shells, Irish Seaweeds and Irish Intertidal Fish and Invertebrates, and our Rockpooling guide which are great educational resources for all.

The Explore Your Shore! project has its own website at www.exploreyourshore.ie and is on Facebook @ExploreYourShore
