TASC: Financial Resilience Training for Charity Staff

TASC, in Partnership with AVIVA, are now offering Financial Resilience Training to charity staff across Ireland. Financial Resilience Training is a free online training that helps staff to support service users to improve their financial resilience and embed FRT into the core work of their organisation.

Financial resilience is the ability of individuals or households to resist, cope with and recover from negative events that impact their finances. Some of the most important areas of financial resilience include day-to-day money management, helping people to live within their means and keeping track of their spending, planning future needs and active saving, choosing and using appropriate financial products and making informed financial decisions.

Financial Resilience Training includes interactive group activities and resources for participants to use within their own organisational setting. Topics include:

  • Budgeting and saving
  • Managing debt
  • Utility costs
  • Energy use and the cost of living
  • Online tools and services
  • Available financial supports

The training requires a minimum attendance of 10 participants and can be delivered over 1 full day or 2 x half days (3 hours per session) online or in person. All full / part time and employment scheme staff are welcome. If your organisation is interested but does not have the required minimum number of participants, please do get in touch and we can discuss options.
