We’re delighted today to introduce Tea-At-3; a national weekly event that invites you to (appropriately!) check-in with your neighbours at 3 pm every Saturday.
Tea-At-3 is a physically distant activity that takes place from your doorstep, in separate gardens, over the phone or across a video call!
Let’s encourage neighbours across the country to join with us as we stick on the kettle, pour a cuppa, reach out to our neighbours and support our communities.
These last few weeks at Neighbourhood Network, there has been one question on our minds: as restrictions are gradually lifted for younger generations, and we get to see our friends, families, and neighbours once again, how do we safely support those who are still cocooning in isolation?
Our answer? Tea-at-3! Every year we see thousands of you bringing joy to your neighbourhoods on Street Feast day. Now instead of an annual street party, we’re encouraging you to enjoy a weekly (physically distant) tea party!
The Tea-At-Three idea was originally created by Helen O’Hara and her neighbours in Rathbawn Drive, Castlebar, Co Mayo! We now want to bring it to communities across the nation.
