Fingal PPN are delighted to support our members with a number of events and workshops in relation to the Fingal Draft Development Plan which recently opened for consultation.
The Fingal Development Plan sets out the vision for how Fingal should develop over the life of the Plan while ensuring compliance with national and regional policy. The Development Plan presents an opportunity for the general public to shape Fingal for the future when it comes to important issues such as housing, economic development, community and heritage.
On Wednesday April 6th, Fingal County Council will meet with Fingal PPN members to answer any questions that they may have in relation to the Draft Development Plan. This event will take place in
Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main Street, Swords, County Dublin K67 X8Y2.

Saolta are offering a Global Citizen Education Workshop focusing on the essential function and importance of embedding and implementing these principals as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals within the County Development Plans. The workshops will enlighten participants about the purpose, function, and broader societal meaning of GCE and the SDGs. They will highlight why they are a crucial roadmap to follow to ensure that our environment, our society, and our economy are future proofed for the generations to come through a clear understanding and activation of meaningful and sustainable practices and policies. Submissions in relation to the Draft Development Plan will be open until 12th May 2022. In preparation for making a submission, Fingal PPN are providing a workshop on how to make effective submissions. This workshop will give a brief introduction to social analysis, give you tips on how to make an effective submission, sourcing relevant data sources to support your submission and learn how to network and work collaboratively on issues. This workshop will be delivered by Social Justice Ireland on behalf of Fingal PPN and will take place online on Wednesday 27th April from 7-9pm. We hope that this series of events and workshops will equip Fingal PPN members with the skills and knowledge to engage with the Draft Development Plan and make a submission if required before the 12th May.
