North Dublin Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force have seen a significant and deeply worrying increase in demand for services since restriction measures have been put in place. Some people are struggling with unemployment, not being able to see loved ones, fear of contracting COVID-19 and a host of related impacts. Unfortunately, it seems that some people are turning to substances to help them cope.
North Dublin Regional Drug & Alcohol Force have been delivering some online training to people working with vulnerable adults in order to allow them to intervene early where they see problematic alcohol or drug use. One cohort they have concerns about in relation to drinking are over 55’s
