Running an Effective Meeting – Tue 26/10/2021 7-9pm.

Target Audience
Anyone involved in running or participating in board or committee meetings.
Outline
Organisations need effective meetings, but these do not happen without correct procedures, preparation and planning. This practical workshop provides the tools needed to run and contribute to online and face-to-face meetings. It covers the purpose of meetings; challenging behaviour; agendas; decision-making; and minutes.

Managing Events Online – Tue 2/11/2021 7-9pm. Target Audience

This online course is for staff and volunteers who are responsible for running events and want to make the move to managing events online, whether it’s a panel discussion, webinar, fundraising event or training session.

• Choosing the right platform for your event;
• Integrating Eventbrite;
• Designing and managing your event; and
• Marketing your event.

Target Audience

This online course is for anyone needing to get a better understanding of how to run and attend meetings using Zoom.

• Before the meeting
o Setting up the meeting
o Getting people to register
o Reminding people before the meeting
o Security concerns: Setting up a waiting room, customised link
o Technical preparation: What participants need to know and do beforehand
• During the meeting
o Zoom Netiquette – muting, use of webcams, chat, use of Zoom tools
o Using Breakout rooms to facilitate discussion
o Use of Polls (only available in paid version)
o Using Reactions
o How to stream live to Facebook
o How to add Captions to a meeting
• Zoom Reporting Facilities

Diversity and Inclusion in your non-profit Organisation Wed 17/11/2021 7-9pm

Charity Trustees, Board Directors & Executives interested and involved in talent, risk, culture & performance.. Maximum number of participants: 16
Outline
This course is designed to enhance your understanding of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) – what it is & why it matters for your Board, your teams and yourself. Relevant Equality legislation is referenced and how it links with our day-to-day. The course delves into the barriers that constrain our ability to fully embrace diversity and sustain an inclusive working environment. This includes a deep dive into the impact of our biases on how we communicate, collaborate and make decisions. And, crucially, what we can do about it to mitigate the negative impact and accelerate a positive cultural transformation.

• Enable attendees to recognise their legislative requirements and the strategic value & benefit of embracing diversity and supporting an inclusive working environment
