Participants needed – Call out to Youth Film & Drama Groups

Dogs hold such a special place in our hearts and are fantastic companions at any age

Participants are needed for a project called Hashtag Dogs, directed by Ken Wardrop.

Hashtag Dogs is an exciting and playful new documentary that’s currently in development with RTÉ and Venom Films, and is set to go into production this year around March/April. The film is directed by Ken Wardrop, the award-winning director of Making The Grade and Cocooned which recently screened on RTÉ (https://www.rte.ie/player/movie/cocooned/230485031981).

Venom Films want to follow a number of social media moguls as they create content with their dogs online. They’re hoping to catch people from different backgrounds, with different stories at different stages of their social media journeys. They want to highlight participant’s unique relationship with their dogs and how their online canine content can strengthen this relationship.

Venom films are looking for young individuals who are interested in film and who might have an older relative or friend with a dog (or who are thinking about getting a dog!). These participants would be followed as they help their relative or friend to make content for their dog online, for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Newcomers to social media are welcomed too as their journey could be marked from the very beginning.

Please contact Aoibhín if you are interested, or know somebody who might be, at production@venom.ie or call on (085) 1373108.
