New Funding for Streetscape Enhancement Projects in Fingal’s town centres

Expressions of interest must be received by Fingal County Council BY 12.00 on Friday 29 November 2024.

Following on from the successful Streetscape scheme in April of this year, Fingal County Council’s Town Regeneration Office is pleased to announce a new funding programme for Streetscape Enhancement Measures in town centres throughout the county.

The new funding reflects Fingal County Council’s vision as a great place to live, work, visit and do business in. It will support facade upgrades at commercial premises and community buildings. This will include shopfront facade improvements, painting, signage replacement or removal, lighting, and green planting.

Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Brian McDonagh, welcomed the new funding programme and added: “This represents a key opportunity for businesses and community facilities situated along the streets of our towns and villages to receive funding assistance towards enhancing their premises. I would encourage businesses and community groups to avail of this excellent opportunity”.

John Quinlivan, Director of Services for Economic Development in Fingal County Council, said: “This new funding represents an important collaborative initiative between Fingal County Council and eligible town centre businesses and community facilities within Fingal. The partnership aims to significantly bolster the aesthetic appeal and prosperity of our town centres, which underlines the Local Authority’s commitment to communities.”

The Fingal County Council Streetscape Enhancement Scheme October 2024 is now open and is seeking expressions of interest from qualifying commercial and community premises located within areas designated as “Major Town Centre”, “Town and District Centre”, “Local Centre” or “Rural Village” within the Fingal County Development Plan 2023-2029.

Grant Funding can be provided up to a maximum of 75% of the projected costs of improvement works. A maximum ceiling of support of €1,500 per eligible property, subject to terms and conditions.

Expressions of interest must be received by Fingal County Council BY 12.00 on Friday 29 November 2024. Programme terms and conditions and expression of interest form can be found at Streetscape Scheme 2024
