National Disability Authority Annual Conference 2022

“From an accessibility to a Universal Design approach – learning from the public and private sectors”.

Location: in-person at Croke Park Conference Centre and remote attendance through the virtual event platform

The National Disability Authority would like to invite you to their Annual Conference.

The 2022 conference will examine Article 9 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) on Accessibility.

Key points would include an understanding Article 9 of the UNCRPD; exploring a holistic understanding of accessibility, equal access and employment; exchanging learning across the public and private sectors; moving beyond the minimum standards; using universal design principles to build inclusive environments including information and services.

The conference will be of interest to:

  • Policy makers
  • Public sector officials
  • Local authority officials
  • Disabled Persons Organisations and other disability organisations
  • Individuals with disabilities and their families.

The registration form will allow any further accessibility requirements that may be needed, for example, if access to a quiet room where the main event will be streamed is required.
