EVE Plantmarket is a programme within the HSE for adults who experience mental health difficulties that help to give them a new sense of self-esteem, new skills, opportunities and confidence. All programmes are QQI certified and run on behalf of DDLETB. Make an appointment to visit the centre today or go along to the open day on the 13th of September. The programmes are run on a continuous intake meaning students can start at any time throughout the year.
3 full time programmes ranging from 18 months to 24 months long, QQI accredited courses in Employability Skills, Horticulture and Retail Practice. EVE Plantmarket gives people who may have experienced mental health difficulties an opportunity to develop career skills, personal confidence, social/listening skills and to prepare them in a rounded way for starting out in work or progressing to further or higher education.
In parallel to delivering vocational training EVE Plantmarket delivers a Health & wellbeing programme to support service users to achieve positive long-term behaviour change and to use and develop personal resources and access community supports. Every student receives a €20 euro training bonus based on attendance. Teas/Coffee, fruit and yogurts are also provide free of charge.
EVE Plantmarket will be having their open day on the 13th of September between 10am and 2pm. It will be an opportunity to meet with staff and trainees and get a proper insight of the programmes on offer and the environment which we operate in. Refreshments will be provided; demonstration and presentations will take part throughout the day.
