The Anti Litter Competition has been launched. The aim is to assist groups to tackle litter and graffiti at a local scale. Any group registered under the Fingal Public Participation Network can apply for the fund. The deadline for applications is Tue May 3rd at 4.30pm. All funded projects must be completed and verified before the end of October.
This year there are two added changes:
- Maximum funding per group is €1,500 in two payments (€750 + €750).
- Groups requiring input or permission for projects involving changes on public lands managed by Fingal County Council should contact their local Operations Department contact as listed on the form- in advance of the submission – to get approval for the project. This is to streamline the process and makes it easier to deliver.
Please take some time to read the rules before you decide on local projects. Applications that score well will link in with groups in the community – youth groups, gardening and Tidy Towns, Residents and estate groups. Native biodiversity is encouraged.
NOTE: FREE PAINT – It’s even delivered for free! Fingal County Council provide Free Recycled Paint to community groups. You can request this from our partners at the Rediscovery Centre by emailing dave@rediscoverycentre.ie giving information on the 1. type of paint (interior or exterior), 2. volume of paint needed (size and type of wall surface, 3. the desired colour(s) and the delivery point.
