Financial Resilience Training

Building community confidence and skills in everyday finance

TASC, sponsored by Aviva Ireland, will work with charities and communities to help support and build the financial resilience of people in Ireland through:

  • the delivery of free training
  • advice and support.

This training will help communities, charities and individuals experiencing increased financial difficulty build their long-term financial resilience and get the most out of their income.

What is Financial Resilience Training?

Financial Resilience Training (FRT) is a free intensive and personalised programme that:

  1. builds financial capability
  2. is transferable to different contexts
  3. and acts as a preventative measure to household problem debt.

The programme includes a lot of hands on activities and group learning to help people and communities struggling with the current cost-of-living and energy crisis.

The training gives people the space and tools to think about their finances, challenges and goals, in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. The programme covers a different topic each week, including money and emotions, budgeting and saving, utility bills, energy use, online shopping and fraud, and looks at what financial supports are available.
