Launch and Plenary Meeting

Fingal PPN is inviting members to attend the Launch of Fingal Inclusion Week and Fingal Community Directory followed by a meeting of the PPN Plenary. The event takes place from 7pm on Wednesday 6th November in the Carnegie Court Hotel Swords.

What is happening?

Fingal PPN alongside the Mayor and Chief Executive of Fingal County Council will launch two initiatives:

Fingal Inclusion Week 2019

This is the first year Inclusion Week will take place in Fingal. Over 100 events will take place across the County of Fingal from Monday 11th November to Sunday 17th November 2019. Fingal Inclusion Week aims to:

• Highlight the positive work that communities, agencies and other organisations are involved in to reduce social exclusion and poverty in Fingal.
• Raise awareness of the barriers experienced by citizens of Fingal that lead to social exclusion.
• Promote an understanding of inclusion in Fingal and celebrate diversity across the county.

Fingal Community Directory

This is an online searchable and filterable database with profiles of Fingal PPN members (community groups like yours). It has been developed alongside the new Fingal PPN website.

Over 700 community organisations are part of the online directory and this will go live on Wednesday 6th November 2019. The directory will:

• Facilitate an additional online presence for community groups.
• Act as a resource for citizens living in Fingal wishing to get involved in the local community.
• Provide a platform for researchers interested in the community demographics of the county.

Fingal PPN Plenary Meeting

The Secretariat will provide an update on PPN Activity, Finance, Governance, and plans for 2020. As well as this, the PPN Constitution Steering Committee (setup following the last plenary meeting) will report back on its work, and propose amendments to the PPN Constitution.
