EPALE Ireland Increasing Digital Reach Initiative 2022 (leargas.ie)

The concept for this initiative came from the impact of COVID-19. The pandemic presented an under-spend from the travel budget, and COVID-19 showed the digital divide faced by learners within the Adult Learning Education (ALE) community in Ireland.

The Digital Reach Initiative sees the opportunity to repurpose funds to support the ALE community in Ireland.

Who can apply?

The Increasing Digital Reach Initiative is applicable to:

  • Adult Education Organisations
  • Community Groups
  • FET Organisations
  • VET Organisations.

An organisation or other organised group or entity based in the Republic of Ireland will need to be the named applicant for a grant. We welcome ideas from informal groups of the adult learning community or individuals working with adult learners; however, the financial responsibility and reporting obligation must remain within an organised group or entity.

How much funding is available?

The grant you receive depends on the scale of your idea. You will indicate in your application the estimated cost of your project. Visit the ‘Information for Applicants’ page to see details of the equipment you can request:

  • Small:  up to €500
  • Medium:  up to €1,000
  • Large: up to €2,500

You will receive the IT materials upon approval and notification from EPALE Ireland/Léargas with further instruction.

When do we apply?

There is one deadline for applications:

  • 01 May 2022
