2. Learners as Leaders Event (Online Event)

As part of the AONTAS Adult Learners’ Festival 2022, AONTAS is hosting a ‘Learners as Leaders’ event. Featuring participants from the Learners as Leaders programme, this event will put the experiences of learners at the centre and show how everyone can #LearnYourWay in your local community.

About the Event:

Everyone should have the opportunity to actively participate and succeed in adult learning and fulfil their educational ambitions, regardless of their past educational experience, social class, sexual orientation, civil status, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or disability. The voices of learners are at the heart of AONTAS’ work. We support adult learners to become advocates by sharing their lived experiences of adult learning. We believe personal stories can help someone overcome their fears, come back to education, and support people to see the impact adult learning has on people’s lives.

This event will include a number of inspirational adult learners, who will share their learning journeys. Grab your coffee and join us at 2pm on Wednesday, 9th March.
