A Dialogue on the Future of Europe: Rural Communities

This is a free Event on 24th September.

Do you live in a rural community or work to support those who do? Do you have ideas for overcoming challenges and creating opportunities in rural Ireland?

If so, The Wheel invite you to join online on Friday, 24 September at 11am for a special event with Irish Rural Link and the European Commission Representation in Ireland: A Dialogue on the Future of Europe: Rural Communities

This event is part of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE), a year-long EU-wide project to seek citizens’ views about Europe’s future challenges and priorities on a variety of topics, including issues facing rural communities. It will feature:

·       An introduction to the CoFoE with a demonstration of how to engage with the CoFoE’s online platform

·       Input from our event partners Irish Rural Link on rural communities and the EU

·       Facilitated break out rooms to allow participants to discuss their key recommendations for the EU on this topic.

Your recommendations will be compiled into a report that will be uploaded to the CoFoE platform for the European Commission’s review. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your voice heard at EU level!

The event is free and open to those with a keen interest in rural communities. Registration is limited, however, so book your place now.
