Water & Environment Strategic Policy Committee SPC

Purpose of Committee

Water & Environment Strategic Policy Committee is a committee of Fingal County Council

  • It is tasked to advise and to assist the Council to develop policy
  • Final policy decisions will rest ultimately with the full Council
  • System is intended to give Councillors and relevant sectoral interests an opportunity for full involvement in the policy-making process from the early stages

Waste Management

  • Eastern – Midlands Draft Regional Waste Management Plan 2015 – 2021
  • Regional Waste Management Plan Update
  • Litter Management Plan

Water Supply & Treatment

  • Irish Water Update – service level agreement between FCC and Irish water
  • Greater Dublin Drainage Project
  • Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

Air & Noise Pollution

·        Air and Noise Pollution – implement Air & Noise pollution legislation

RMCEI Report on 2014 and Plan for 2015 – Recommended Minimum Criteria for Environmental Inspection targets set by the EPA
