Who are the Secretariat members?

The Secretariat  comprises of 12 members from the Electoral Colleges/Pillars of Social Inclusion, Community & Voluntary and Environment. At present the members of the Secretariat are:

What is the Secretariat?

The main function of the Secretariat is to ensure the proper function of Fingal Public Participation Network between Plenary meetings through coordinating and implementing the work of the PPN and Linkage Groups.

  • Ensuring that the Network operates to the highest possible standard.
  • Support and monitor the work of Network Representatives
  • Support the work of the Network Resource Worker
  • Promote the Network amongst its Members and in the wider community.
  • Work with the Fingal County Council Community Development Office regarding the Council’s oversight responsibility.
  • Co-ordinate activities of the PPN
  • Communicate with all PPN members and disseminate information on PPN activities
The membership of the Secretariat is elected and ratified at the Plenary session.

How can my organisation become a member of the Secretariat?

Vacancies are filled through election at Plenary meetings. Members are notified through email and the website of vacancies and nomination forms are circulated. The basic requirement for Secretariat membership is to register on Fingal Community County Register and be a member of Fingal Public Participation Network (This can be done here) . In addition members must be available to attend meetings and undertake assigned tasks.
