Registration Open: Fingal PPN Community Gathering and Plenary Meeting 2018

Date: Wednesday 14th November 2018

Time: 7pm to 9.30pm (Finger food and Refreshments provided)

Venue: Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords

Speakers: 

  • Dr. Seán Healy, Social Justice Ireland
  • Dr. Mary Murphy, National University of Ireland Maynooth
  • <TBC>

This Community Gathering and Plenary Meeting will focus on discussing Active Citizenship and Social Justice issues. Leading activists will speak about the challenges and opportunities that exist for community groups who are trying to influence decision makers and have an impact on their local area.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a ‘fireside chat’ with the speakers, seeking advice, asking questions and highlighting issues.

*Please note limited places are available, therefore it is advised to register well in advance.

Come along! Highlight, discuss and work on the opportunities and issues facing your community. Network with other groups from across Fingal, share ideas and be inspired. Learn more about the Fingal Public Participation Network and see first-hand the work we do.

November 2017 Plenary

Date: Wednesday 8th November 2017

Time: 7pm to 9.30pm (Finger food and Refreshments provided)

Venue: Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords

Format of evening: 

  • 7pm – 8.00pm: Community Supports Showcase – 12 Stalls about Funding, Training, Initiatives and so on for Community Groups.
  • 7.45pm – 9.30pm: PPN Business – Update, Elections, Motions and Plenary Session
  • Ongoing: Feedback Wall – Help us identify community issues, input into our new strategy, feedback on the PPN.
  • 9.30pm: PRIZE DRAW – Each member who attends the Plenary will be entered into a draw for 1 years free community group insurance upto the value of €1,000. Sponsored by BHP Insurance.

PPN Plenary and Information Evening 31st May 2017

Fingal PPN held their most recent Plenary meeting on the 31st of May 2017. Over 80 community stakeholders attended with more than 10 community based funding and/or support programmes exhibiting information.

PPN Plenary and Information Evening 31st May 2017

The PPN Secretariat would like to invite all community groups based in the Fingal area to their Plenary Meeting and Information Evening from 6.30pm on Wednesday 31st May 2017. The Plenary primarily provides the opportunity for the PPN Secretariat to report on activities, for members to raise and discuss issues and for PPN Representatives to feedback on issues and progress from their committees.
