At the Annual General Plenary Meeting of the Fingal PPN on 8th May 2019, the Plenary approved the following:
“The constitution is adopted with the proviso that section 10 where it requires 30 members of the PPN to propose an amendment to the constitution is not activated, and that a steering group of PPN members (to be setup by the Secretariat) is put together to carry out consultation on the constitution and recommend any final changes for the next Plenary meeting in November 2019.”
The Secretariat is now proceeding with implementing this decision with the setup of a Steering Group and the initiation of a consultation on the constitution.
Members of the PPN are invited to provide feedback if they so wish on the PPN Constitution. The consultation period runs from 10th June 2019 to midday on 15th August 2019.
Feedback from the consultation will be reviewed by a Steering Committee (see below for Terms of Reference and Membership). Having reviewed the feedback, the Steering Committee may propose amendments that will be brought to the Plenary meeting of the PPN on 6th November 2019.
Three open meetings for PPN members will be held as follows:
- 25th June: 6pm to 9pm, County Hall Swords
- 6th August: 6pm to 9pm, Civic Offices Blanchardstown
- 7th August: 6pm to 9pm, Venue To be confirmed, Balbriggan
The purpose of these meetings is for members who are interested in the constitution and who are interested in giving feedback on the constitution. These meetings are for feedback and clarification questions on the constitution only.
Registration for these meetings is compulsory. Meetings with no pre-registrations will not go ahead.

It is envisioned that this steering committee will meet on the 22nd August 2019 with one additional meeting if required.
