Conflict Management and Active Citizenship Workshops

Fingal PPN and Empower Partnership have arranged 2 free upcoming workshops for community groups in Fingal. Both workshops commence at 7pm sharp, the venue for both workshops is Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, Clonshaugh Road, Dublin (Just off the M1/M50 interchange).

Thursday 25th October 2018: Conflict Management

Conflict is both normal and inevitable where a group of people are trying to achieve something. It may be a sign that relationships have not been developed or maintained well. The important thing is how conflict is dealt with. If it’s addressed constructively, conflict can be an important step in building and maintaining relationships.

Venue: Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, Clonshaugh Road, Dublin (Just off the M1/M50 interchange)

Time: Workshop commences at 7pm sharp

Tuesday 4th December 2018: Active Citizenships and Lobbying

Active citizenship is quite simply doing anything to express values or to achieve something for the common good. However, active citizenship is about more than just volunteering time to local organised community initiatives. It is as much about people being empowered to participate in democratic decision-making. Nevertheless, a person’s ability to be an active citizen is not always guaranteed. Some people are better able to participate than others are, so redressing economic, social and political power inequalities across Irish society is required to foster meaningful active citizenship.

Venue: Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, Clonshaugh Road, Dublin (Just off the M1/M50 interchange)

Time: Workshop commences at 7pm sharp
